Point well-taken.
When I made my last post on my previous blog, I didn't know that it would be my last.
Time passed. And more time passed.
And suddenly, the blog was all but dead.
Ironically, right before I stopped blogging, several bloggers publicly indicated that they were thinking about discontinuing their blogging efforts.
It was almost like they wanted people to beg them to stay around, which didn't strike me as a very cool thing to do. Either blog, or don't blog.
(It sort of reminded me of the threat Johnnetta Cole once made to resign as Bennett College's president. I have overall respect for her, but that seemed like unnecessary posturing. Maybe I'm wrong about that; maybe it was necessary.)
At any rate, what those individual bloggers did--publicly discussing their decision-making process--was probably better than what I did, which was just to stop abruptly and then not to communicate about it at all really.
If I leave the scene again, I'll at least say 'bye.
Another life lesson learned.

Threats to stop blogging are a time honored tradition around here and an excellent opp for validation - something we all need occasionally.
